April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day. Everyone is encouraged to wear a light blue top. Light blue is the symbolic colour representing Autism Awareness. Other symbols include the multi-coloured ribbon and puzzle pieces. Students are encouraged to include these in their attire. they can be creative and make ribbons and puzzle pieces and pin them to their clothing, wear it in their hair. This is not a Civvies Day, students must still wear their SDC underneath the blue tops.
Friday, April 5th is a Civvies Day and it will be dedicated to collecting $1 & $2 for Autism. A donation will be made to Autism Ontario. Please send in your donations – they will be accepted all this week.
